What time are check in and check out?
Daily check in time is at 3:00 pm, and check out is at 11:00 am.
What are the Front Desk hours?
The Front Desk office is open from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm Hawaii time daily. For arrivals after 8:30pm, please contact The Plantation Inn prior to arrival via phone call 800-433-6815 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a resort fee?
No. We do not charge any resort fees at our inn.
Is breakfast always included in the room rate?
Yes. As Maui’s premier B&B, breakfast is included for all paying guests and served from 7:30 to 9:30am on our open-air veranda. Selections include gourmet French Toast, Eggs Florentine, House-made Gronola along with homemade yogurt or a fresh bagel with salmon & cream cheese. *Due to labor shortage, The Plantation Inn is not able to provide breakfast service on Sundays. On Sundays, a F&B credit will be provided to dine at our sister property - Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel.
Is the The Plantation Inn affected by the September 15, 2021 “Safer Outside” rules for Maui County?
No, The Plantation Inn is not affected by the rules. Breakfast will be served outdoors in accordance to the mandate. We continue to practice physical distancing and wear masks when in any shared, public indoor spaces. All employees who work in our food & beverage are either vaccinated or tested as mandated.
Is Internet access available?
Yes. We have complimentary in-room Wi-Fi service.
Do you charge a parking fee?
No. We provide FREE on-site parking.
Do any of your rooms have kitchens?
Only The Pana‘ewa Suite has a full kitchen. This suite is located upstairs, on the second floor of the Pana‘ewa building.
How many guest rooms do you have?
Our two buildings house 18 beautifully decorated rooms – 14 guest rooms and 4 suites.
Do you have a pool or Jacuzzi?
Yes. We have a secluded outdoor pool and Jacuzzi in our interior courtyard, surrounded by tropical palms and greenery .
Is there an elevator available?
No. There is no bell-service and/or elevators available at the Inn.
Are smoking rooms available?
No. All rooms are designated non-smoking.
How close are you to the beach?
The property is 2 blocks from the beach. The closest Beach Parks are Puamana Beach Park and Launiupoko Beach Park.
Do you have concierge service at the Inn?
Front office agents will try their best to answer your questions regarding surrounding areas and directions. For information about island activities, please contact ʻAlihilani Guest Services at our sister property for assistance.
Are you a children-friendly property?
The Plantation Inn is an adult preferred property. It creates an intimate setting that is perfectly suited for couples, honeymooners, etc. If you are interested in a more family-friendly environment , we recommend our sister property, Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel.
What is the tax rate in the state of Hawaiʻi?
4.166% Hawaiʻi State General Excise Tax (“GET”) and 10.25% Hawaiʻi Transient Accommodations Tax (“TAT”) (collectively the Excise Tax and Transient Tax equal a combined total tax rate of 14.416% (the “Combined Tax(es)”) applied to all room rates, effective January 1, 2018, until December 31, 2030. An additional Maui County TAT surcharge of 3% will be in effect as of 11/1/21 changing the combined total tax rate to 17.416% applied to all hotel room rates.
